Chapter 341
Winnie suppressed her laughter and tried to escape, but unexpectedly, he pressed her against the railing, his long arms gripping the railing beside her. Winnie was forced into a tight space, feeling his dominant masculine aura and the pronounced contours of his muscular chest beneath his shirt, making her uneasy.
With a shift in her watery gaze, she coldly pushed him away. "What are you doing?"
"Take it off for me."
Speechless, Winnie stood on her tiptoes, pouting as she took the clothes down from the clothing line.
As he regained his senses, Lawrence finally realized how close he had pushed her. Close enough to enclose her in his arms, with his arms and chest pressing tightly against her. A tingling sensation surged through his spine, deepening the color of his eyes.
"Fussy man, would you let go of me?" Winnie pushed him away irritably. She struggled repeatedly, brushing against his waist a few times. Even in the bathroom, she had accidentally bumped into him, but that evil fire never subsided.
Lawrence held her in a silent warning and cheekily said, "Trying to seduce me again? Have you forgotten that I am just a normal man? Are you done playing hard to get?"
Winnie was stunned, quickly sensing that something was off. Her earlobes turned red, and she kicked him slightly. "What did I do to seduce you? I won't play hard to get with you or anyone else. Aren't there other men..."
Before she could complete her sentence, Winnie's attention was abruptly drawn to Oscar, who appeared in the living room. In his hands was the post-surgical medicine, and the gauze on his throat was evident as he removed his mask. Winnie widened her eyes and called out to Oscar, "Wait a minute!" In an attempt to divert Lawrence's gaze from the living room, she hastily pulled him close, her nerves palpable as she tightly gripped the man's waist.
Lawrence lowered his head, and his gaze darkened. "Winnie, are you looking for ways to sleep with me?" The man's voice sounded muffled, like a low growl, and his body became tense.
Winnie's realization came a little too late; her heart skipped a beat, and a blush crept across her cheeks. "I, I..."
"You didn't do it on purpose, right?" Lawrence's eyes were full of sarcasm. "It wasn't seduction, was it?"
Winnie felt like crying yet her tear ducts remained dry. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Oscar hadn't left, and Sidney's head was peeking from the bedroom door. These two little troublemakers were pushing her patience to the limit.
Suddenly, her chin was gently lifted by the man's finger, and his hot breath pressed against her.
Lawrence looked at her blushing face, his eyes filled with growing desire. He really couldn't resist it, nor did he want to succumb to the temptation. "Woman, it's the opportunity you gave yourself." His throat tightened with desire as he leaned down to kiss her. At first, his lips lingered on hers. Then, he bit her while holding her hands and pressed her against the railing so that she couldn't move an inch. "Mmm, mmm..."
Initially, Winnie was bewildered, staring at her son's figure who was still in the living room. No matter how hard she struggled, she was unable to break free from the man's hold.
Abruptly, she awoke, kissed by a man whose touch sent tremors through her heart-an overwhelming blend of just a kiss and the firm grasp of his hands. He understood her intimately-the scent, the technique, the dominance-all etched deeply into her memory. Despite her soul's resistance, her body yielded to him. Frustrated, she cursed herself; he wasn't as bad as she claimed. Winnie's legs weakened, her struggle intensified, and her flushed face betrayed the night's attempt to conceal her emotions.
"Can't withstand it any longer, huh?" The man gently pressed against her leg as her slender legs couldn't stay upright. Lawrence chuckled softly, his large hand pulling out the hem of the skirt that was tucked inside her clothes.
"No!" Winnie exclaimed, her annoyance evident.
In the living room, Sidney was dumbfounded. Both he and Oscar had heard their parents loudly arguing on the balcony. Concerned, Oscar came out to the living room to check and at the same time to retrieve the post-surgical medicine. Sidney noticed that Oscar wasn't wearing a mask when he came out to the living room.
"Oscar, what is Dad doing? Is he not full from dinner hence why he's nibbling on Mommy? How can he do this?" Sidney furrowed his brows coldly.
Oscar, who was already in a bad mood from seeing the scene before him, suddenly felt the urge to explode. He couldn't believe how Sidney had grown up with their jerk of a father. Moreover, Sidney appeared oblivious to it all. Oscar rolled his eyes and pursed his lips. "You silly fool, he is bullying Mommy. This is how adults kiss each other."
When it came to kissing, Sidney grasped the concept well. Mia had eagerly kissed his handsome face once and he also understood that kissing was reserved for someone special. A sly smile played on Sidney's lips as he seemed to uncover a hidden truth. "So that means Dad still likes Mommy!"
"I don't want him to like her, he's a scoundrel." Oscar looked at his mother, who was bent over as if about to cry, and he immediately put on his mask, wanting to rush over.
Sidney jolted and quickly stopped his little brother, covering his mouth.
"Ugh." Oscar glared at Sidney.
With a little selfishness, Sidney coolly asked, "Oscar, can we let Mommy have Dad's baby? I heard that kissing leads to having babies. That way, they will eventually make up."
"Where did you hear that from?" Oscar had no idea what was going on in Sidney's little head. He was baffled that Sidney even thought about it, considering their father couldn't even take care of a son properly.
Clap-! Lawrence's misdeeds finally came to an end with a slap.
The woman blushed, her delicate white palm trembled as she bit down her swollen red lips, staring at him fiercely. The man casually wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and his large hand emerged from his clothes.
Winnie immediately buttoned up the hidden clasp on her back and rushed back into the house.
Lawrence stood there, taking in the cold breeze. He lit a cigarette and took a deep drag, calming his overheated body. After exhaling a thick cloud of smoke, his cold gaze shifted to the bottom of the building, catching a glimpse of Rock's tense profile peeking out from the car. The corners of Lawrence's mouth curled slightly, his gaze fierce and icy. There was a reason he had kissed Winnie for so long.
Upon his leisurely return from the balcony, the bedroom door was tightly closed. Winnie stood at the doorway, having changed into different clothes. Her pretty face was impossible to look at, except for her angry eyes. With force, she flung a piece of paper onto the despicable man's face.
Lawrence's gaze was still focused on her as he bent down to pick it up, realizing it was a small notebook. He glanced at the cover, and his face immediately changed color.
Winnie sarcastically and coldly said, "Forgot to mention, the divorce certificate, it's done. Please refrain from touching me, irrelevant ex-husband!"
Lawrence tightly pressed his lips, the intense heat from earlier extinguished by her words, akin to an icy plunge into frigid waters. He cursed inwardly as he clenched his hand in frustration. "How could it be done so quickly? It's not fake, is it?"
Winnie scoffed. "Take your long-awaited divorce certificate and get lost."
Lawrence fell silent instantly. Although he had pressured her to sign the divorce papers and obtain the certificate earlier, when she finally handed it to him, he found himself reluctant to accept it. The urge to tear up the document even crossed his mind. The darkness in Lawrence's eyes became elusive, a fleeting hint of confusion passing through. In his moment of bewilderment, the woman promptly kicked him out.
With a stern expression, he was about to ask her for Sidney when the phone in his pocket kept ringing.
