Chapter 109

Isabella's words left Scarlett, Lyanna, and Bob completely stunned.

Scarlett quickly broke the silence with a laugh. "Isabella, seriously? You're still denying it? We've got witnesses right here, and you're sticking to this lie? Do you really think that's gonna help you now?"

Michael leaned back on the sofa, watching Scarlett's outburst with a faint smile, though his eyes were cold as ice.

Lyanna sensed something was off and tried to pull Scarlett back, but Scarlett was too worked up to notice.

"Kenna, did you hear Isabella? She claims this is a bag of flour! I've never seen flour packaged like this in my life!" Scarlett's face twisted into a nasty grin.

Ignoring Scarlett, Isabella turned to Kenna with a smile. "Dad, can you have someone test this powder?"

Kenna nodded and called for a bodyguard.

The bodyguard soon left the villa with a sample of the powder.

Scarlett crossed her arms and sat back on the sofa, sneering at Isabella. "Let's see how you explain yourself when the test results come back."

Isabella shot Scarlett a cold look and muttered, "Idiot."

Scarlett was fuming, but she knew she was about to win, so she held back.

About half an hour later, Kenna's phone rang. It was the bodyguard who had left earlier.

Kenna answered and put the call on speaker. "Can you repeat the test results?"

The bodyguard's voice came through loud and clear. "After professional analysis, the powder has been confirmed to be flour."

Scarlett jumped up from the sofa. "No way! It can't be flour! It has to be drugs! Did you test it wrong?"

The bodyguard's voice was firm. "Ms. Ramirez, our testing agency is very reputable. We can definitely tell the difference between drugs and flour."

"This can't be happening. It was supposed to be drugs. Why is it flour?" Scarlett muttered, panicking.

Bob, standing on the outskirts of the group, suddenly had a bad feeling. This might be the end for him.

Scarlett's eyes widened as she realized something. She glared at Isabella. "You knew, didn't you? You knew it was flour all along and just wanted to see me make a fool of myself!"

Isabella smiled faintly. "Oh, I just remembered. Yesterday, Michael and I were shopping and saw a farmer selling homemade flour but nobody was buying. We felt sorry for him, so we bought a bag. I tossed it in the suitcase and forgot about it."

Michael chuckled and ruffled Isabella's hair. "You're too kind, Isabella." Kenna looked at them and shook his head with a smile. "Well, since this was just a misunderstanding, I think an explanation should suffice."

Lyanna stood up awkwardly. "So it was a misunderstanding. I'm sorry, Isabella. I didn't expect it to turn out like this. Please don't take what I said to heart."

Isabella rolled her eyes, marveling at Lyanna's shamelessness.

"Dad, this isn't over yet!" Isabella's expression suddenly turned serious.

Scarlett raised her head, glaring at Isabella. "Isabella, what else do you want to say? Haven't you had enough fun at my expense?"

"No, no, no, this isn't over for you yet." Isabella's lips curled into a mocking smile as she pulled out a USB drive from her pocket and handed it to a nearby servant.

"Play the contents of this USB drive on the TV," Isabella instructed.

The servant took the USB drive and went to the TV to start the playback.

A sudden sense of dread washed over Scarlett. She looked at Isabella, panic creeping into her voice. "What are you trying to do?"

"What am I trying to do? You'll see soon enough," Isabella replied coldly, then leaned against Michael and watched the TV.

As the TV screen lit up, a video started playing.

When Scarlett saw the footage, she froze in place.

The video showed Isabella and Michael's room.

The timestamp on the video indicated it was recorded yesterday afternoon, the exact time when Scarlett and Lyanna came to apologize.

The door to Michael and Isabella's room opened. Scarlett sneaked in, opened Isabella's suitcase, and then pulled a bag of white powder from her handbag, placing it inside the suitcase. After completing this, she left.

At this point, the video sped up. About 20 minutes later, Isabella entered the room.

After taking a phone call in the room, Isabella went straight to her suitcase, opened it, and took out a bag of white powder.

Shortly after, the door opened again, and Michael walked in.

The video ended at this point. Everyone who watched it fell silent.

Scarlett and Lyanna were in a panicked silence, Kenna was in an angry silence, Michael and Isabella were in a mocking silence, and Bob, huddled in the corner, was in a fearful silence.

"So this is it! This is the show Isabella wanted me to see!" Kenna's suppressed anger was like a volcano about to erupt.

Scarlett paled and took a step back, nearly stumbling. She pointed at Isabella, trembling, and questioned, "This video is fake. It must be fake. Who in their right mind would install a camera in their bedroom?"

Michael's lips curled into a smile. He pulled Isabella close, gently touching her chin with one hand, and said, "We wanted to capture our intimate moments on camera. You've got a problem with that?"

Isabella blushed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and annoyance, and lightly slapped Michael's chest.

Of course, the truth was not as Michael said. Isabella had installed the hidden camera in the room just for self-protection.
