After Mason gave the orders, Charles wasted no time and headed downstairs to get things rolling.

They had to reach out to government officials and the top brass of the Brown Family's businesses. It was a team effort if they wanted to take control.

Meanwhile, John got the news too. Without missing a beat, he told his people to start taking over the Brown Family's assets and gave Bianca a heads-up.

When Bianca heard that Paxton and the rest of the family were dead, she was floored.

"How is this even possible? Paxton was the head of one of the big four families. How could he just die like that? And the whole family wiped out so quickly?" Bianca stared at John, stunned.

John shook his head, looking serious. "All I know is Paxton was chasing someone, but we don't know who. The cops have locked down the info, and Alan is taking it seriously this time. We haven't heard a thing. But whoever it is, they're ruthless."

Bianca went pale with fear. While others were clueless, she knew Paxton was after Isabella and her husband.

John didn't mention the fake diary entries, and Bianca had no idea about them either. Besides John, others had also faked diary entries.

Bianca thought their plan with the guy had worked.

'Who are Isabella and her husband? How could they be so terrifying? Did they really kill the whole family to take over? They're maniacs. Wait, I've pissed off Isabella so many times, is she coming for me next?' Bianca's mind was racing.

John saw Bianca's pale face and figured she was scared after hearing about Paxton and the family's grim fate.

"Don't worry, babe, I'll protect you. Our vineyard's security is way better than the Brown Family's," John reassured her, holding her close.

He wasn't lying. The other three major families were way stronger than Paxton's Brown Family. Paxton's crew were just a bunch of mercenaries, easy targets because they lacked discipline.

Bianca nodded. "Honey, with you saying that, I feel a lot better. I'm not afraid to die, but I worry about our baby. They haven't even seen the world yet."

She gently touched her belly.

John placed his hand on her belly too, feeling emotional. "Don't worry, if you ever feel like I can't protect you, I'll take you to my grandpa. Even if he doesn't like you, he'll protect you for the baby's sake."

Bianca, touched, nodded. "Honey, I'm a bit tired. I need to rest."

John helped her to the bedroom and then left the vineyard. He had to handle taking over the Brown Family's assets.

As soon as Bianca got into the bedroom, she whipped out her phone and called the man.

When he picked up, she blurted out, "Is Isabella still alive? Who's her husband? Why did everyone in the Brown Family die?"

The guy on the other end replied coolly, "I still don't know who her husband is, but he's definitely not just some regular guy. Are you worried he's coming after you?"

Bianca glanced at the bedroom door and hissed, "Aren't you scared? The entire Brown Family is dead. Anyone would be terrified of such a ruthless man!"

The man on the phone suddenly chuckled. "If you're worried about his brutality, relax. He only killed Paxton and Zoey."

Bianca was stunned, her brow furrowing in confusion. "You mean he only killed two people? Then who took out the rest of the Brown Family?"

"It was me," the voice on the phone said calmly. It was Paxton's steward, Jonah.

Bianca covered her mouth in shock, almost letting out a gasp.

"Why did you do this? Wouldn't it be better to leave those family members to deal with Isabella?" Bianca asked, baffled.

Jonah was silent for a moment, then sighed softly. "It's complicated. Someone handed all their criminal records to the police. Even if I didn't kill them, they would've been arrested. I was more worried they'd expose me. I had no choice but to silence them all."

Jonah's tone was so calm, like he was talking about a casual stroll in the park.

Bianca was terrified. She knew Jonah was ruthless, but this was next-level. She started worrying about her and her mom's safety.

Jonah seemed to read her mind and chuckled, "Worried I'll harm your mother? Relax, you're still useful to me, so I'll keep her safe."

Bianca let out a sigh of relief, but then felt a surge of resentment. She hated being used.

"Paxton's dead, what else can I do?" Bianca asked.

"Stay close to John. You're carrying his child, after all. I've always suspected Mason from the Williams Family is hiding something important from the Taylor Family. Find out what it is," Jonah instructed.

Bianca frowned, confused. "Shouldn't you be pushing me to get John to grab the Brown Family's assets? They originally belonged to the Taylor Family. If John gets them, Isabella can't."

Jonah sneered, "John can't do it. Even if the three major families teamed up, they couldn't. Don't underestimate Patrick from the Taylor Family. And those assets are useless to me. Just follow my instructions."

With that, Jonah hung up, leaving Bianca in shock.
