Chapter 364

Michael pulled Isabella into a gentle hug after hearing what she said.

"Sorry for being late. If I had come into your life sooner, maybe..." Michael started, but Isabella cut him off.

"Babe, honestly, if you had shown up earlier, I probably wouldn't have been interested in you at all," Isabella said with a smile, touching his face.

Michael blinked, thinking he might have misheard.

Isabella softly stroked his cheek. "I had plenty of handsome guys chasing me back then. But I didn't care for any of them. If you had come around earlier, it might have been the same story."

Michael was surprised, then let out a wry laugh. "Well, that actually makes sense."

Isabella kissed his cheek. "Fate has its own way of working things out. If I hadn't been hurt by Bianca and John, I wouldn't have met someone as amazing as you. I just had to go through the pain first to get to the good part."

Michael felt a warmth spread through him after hearing her words. He realized their meeting was a result of Isabella being deeply hurt by John, leading her to marry a random guy, and he was lucky enough to be that guy, bringing them to where they were now.

It was like a scene from a crazy romantic comedy.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, John and Bianca, who had been insulted by Isabella, were together.

John came home from work, took off his coat, and walked into the living room.

The cozy living room had a soft carpet, with a chaise lounge at the edge. Bianca was lying on it, barefoot, holding a parenting book.

Bianca put down the book and smiled at John as he walked in. "Hey, you're back."

John nodded, walked over to Bianca, and gently touched her face.

"Don't tease me, your hands are cold," Bianca said, playfully tapping his hand.

John chuckled, then placed his hand on her belly and asked, "How are you feeling? Any discomfort today?"

Bianca shook her head, a maternal glow on her face. "I'm healthy, and I can feel the baby is too. It's just my emotions are a bit all over the place."

A hint of sadness crossed her eyes.

John frowned slightly. "Is it because of your mom? I've got people looking for her, we should hear something soon. Try not to worry too much; she's an adult."

Bianca's father had committed suicide, and her mother had gone insane and disappeared. John had been sending people to find her.

In reality, Bianca knew her mother wasn't missing but was being held captive as leverage against her.

"I'm worried about my mom, but that's not what I wanted to talk about," Bianca said, settling back in the chair.

"What's wrong then?" John asked, gently massaging her head to help her relax.

"I just feel so bored staying at home and want to do something," Bianca said.

John raised an eyebrow, "Do you want to go out? I can have the bodyguards take you. Or is there something specific you want to do?"

Bianca looked at him with a smile, "Babe, I want to start a company."

John leaned back on the sofa, waving his hand casually, "What kind of company? I have so many already. You could be a manager or take a senior position in any of them."

Bianca shook her head. "I want to start something new. You lost a chunk of your assets in that bet with your grandfather, and I want to help you out."

John was about to say that with Bianca's skills, starting a company wouldn't make much of a difference. But considering she was pregnant and sensitive, he held back.

"Honestly, I don't care much about that loss. The rest of my assets are still substantial, and we can always make more. But if you want to start a company, I'll support you. What kind of company are you thinking about?" John asked.

"I want to start a clothing company, create a new fashion brand," Bianca said, her eyes lighting up.

John frowned slightly. He remembered Isabella had a big clothing company. Was Bianca trying to compete with her?

Bianca seemed to read his mind and smiled, "I chose fashion for a reason. Isabella once said I had no business sense, and maybe she's right. But as a woman, I have a natural eye for fashion. I can always tell if an outfit looks good."

After a moment of thought, John nodded. Building a luxury brand wasn't easy, but if Bianca was passionate about it, he could help.

"Alright, I'll have someone handle the trademark and set up the company. Where do you want to base it?" John asked.

Bianca smiled, "You have so many buildings. Just find me a vacant floor. I don't need a big team for my small company."

John sighed in relief, thinking she might want to set up near Isabella's company. It seemed Bianca had thought this through and wasn't looking to provoke Isabella.

"No problem, we have plenty of vacant floors. I'll have someone pick the best one for you," John said, smiling at her.

"Great, dear. I'm going to rest for a bit. Being pregnant makes me so tired," Bianca yawned and headed to the bedroom.

Once in the room, Bianca's expression turned serious. "John, are you worried about me clashing with Isabella again and causing trouble, or that I might develop feelings for her again?"

John's thoughts were too naive; Bianca had never let go of her hatred for Isabella. Moving on wasn't that simple.
