Chapter 370

Michael never saw it coming-the ordinary woman they bumped into at the hotel was actually part of a bigger scheme.

"Here's what we've got so far, Mr. Williams. Should we dig deeper?" Jerry asked.

Avalonia was Michael's turf, making it way easier to investigate there than in Lumaria.

After mulling it over for a second, Michael nodded. "Yeah, go ahead and look into it, but I doubt we'll find anything concrete. That woman's probably not from around here; she's got to be connected to someone local."

With Michael's go-ahead, Jerry hung up and started making plans.

Meanwhile, Michael and Isabella unexpectedly rejoined Amelia and the others.

"Sorry, everyone, I took forever in the bathroom," Isabella smiled, noticing Amelia giving her a weird look.

"Amelia, why are you looking at me like that?" Isabella asked, puzzled.

At the same time, Michael noticed Benjamin staring at him.

"Why are you staring at me? Finally realized I'm more handsome than you?" Michael teased.

Benjamin rolled his eyes. "Your wife went to make a call on one side, and you went to the other. I thought you two were chatting on the phone."

Isabella was taken aback, not expecting Michael to be on the phone too.

Michael shrugged it off. "Just handling some company stuff. No need to spill any business secrets to you, right?"

Benjamin shrugged. "Alright, if you say it's a business secret, then it's a business secret."

The four of them headed to the restaurant to order.

Amelia kept glancing between Isabella and Michael.

When the food arrived, Isabella put down her utensils and looked at Amelia, exasperated.

"Amelia, what's up with you? Why do you keep staring at us?" Isabella asked, clearly annoyed.

Amelia and Benjamin exchanged a look. Benjamin spoke up first.

"Actually, Amelia and I are a bit worried about your relationship," Benjamin said.

Amelia nodded. "Yeah, Isabella. If there's something going on, it's better to talk about it now so we can help. Otherwise, things might just get worse."

Isabella and Michael exchanged a look, both clearly frustrated.

"Our relationship is fine, no issues. You guys are just overthinking," Isabella said, rolling her eyes.

Amelia suddenly grabbed Isabella's hand and shook her head. "No way. As your best friend, I can tell you're hiding something."

Benjamin grabbed Michael's hand too. "Michael, you gotta tell us. As an emotional expert..."

Before Benjamin could finish, Michael pulled his hand away and playfully knocked him on the head.

"Ouch, that hurts! What are you doing?" Benjamin rubbed his forehead, glaring at Michael.

Amelia looked at Benjamin's swollen forehead with concern, then shot Michael an angry look. "We're worried about your relationship. How could you hit him?"

Michael sighed, feeling exasperated. He pointed to the surrounding customers. "Do you hear yourself? With you holding my hand so tightly, people might think I'm gay."

Isabella couldn't help but laugh. "You two don't need to worry. Our relationship is solid."

Amelia massaged Benjamin's forehead, still skeptical. "I don't believe it, unless you prove it to me."

Isabella was taken aback. "How are we supposed to prove that?"

"I know how," Michael said.

Before anyone could react, he suddenly hugged Isabella, lifted her chin, and kissed her deeply.

The surrounding customers erupted into cheers as they embraced in a passionate kiss.

Isabella pushed Michael away, her cheeks flushed.

Michael wiped his mouth and looked at Benjamin and Amelia. He grinned. "Now you don't need to worry about our relationship, right?"

Isabella rolled her eyes and lightly tapped Michael's leg.

Benjamin looked at Amelia. "This should be proof enough, right?"

Amelia nodded. "It should be! They look like a couple in the honeymoon phase."

But Isabella shook her head. "We're already married, not in the honeymoon phase. You and Benjamin just started dating. You should be more passionate, but I don't see that in you two," she said with a mischievous smirk.

Amelia blushed and glared at Isabella. "We're just more reserved. We can't do something like kissing in front of so many people."

Benjamin nodded. "That's right, we're both more reserved. Unlike you two, who are so passionate."

Michael glanced at Benjamin and said calmly, "Before you say that, you should control the envy in your eyes. When I kissed my wife just now, all I saw in your eyes was jealousy."

Benjamin coughed awkwardly. "No, I didn't. Don't make things up."

Isabella chimed in, "Amelia, did you hear that? Your boyfriend wants a kiss. You can't let him down."

Amelia's face grew even redder. She glared at Benjamin, who just smiled awkwardly at her.

"It's okay, if you want a kiss, we can go back to the hotel..." Benjamin's words were cut off as Amelia suddenly pulled him closer and kissed him passionately.

Benjamin's eyes widened in surprise. He didn't expect Amelia to kiss him so passionately in the restaurant.

"That's great, dear, did you capture it?" Isabella took photos with her phone continuously.

Michael recorded with his phone and nodded with a smile. "I got it all. We can make a video later, add some music, and play it at their wedding."
