Chapter 460

Daniel let out a scream that could wake the dead. That thing was just way too fragile.

Benjamin jumped, not expecting Michael to pop up out of nowhere. He didn't give a damn about Daniel's scream, though.

"Weren't you planning to leave? Why are you back?" Benjamin asked Michael, confused, then kicked Daniel in the crotch.

Daniel screamed again.

Michael shrugged. "I always thought you were too soft for this. Good thing I showed up; you wouldn't even know how to throw a punch."

With that, Michael kicked Daniel in the crotch again.

Daniel's screams echoed through the space, making everyone present wince in pain.

The men watching Michael and Benjamin kick Daniel in the crotch instinctively clenched their legs. Just thinking about that pain was unbearable.

Even though Amelia didn't like Daniel, his screams were too much.

"Can you two stop? Are you using his crotch as punctuation for your conversation?" Amelia complained, covering her ears.

Michael looked at Benjamin and grinned. "Amelia's your girlfriend, you handle your own stuff. How about I take care of this guy on the ground?"

Benjamin nodded, trusting Michael completely.

Michael made a call, and soon a bunch of uniformed cops showed up and took Daniel away.

Benjamin looked at Michael, puzzled, and whispered, "Are these cops your guys in disguise?"

Michael shook his head.

Benjamin was even more confused. "Calling the cops is your solution?"

Michael chuckled and rubbed his nose. "That call was to my wife. It was her idea. She's part of one of the big four families now. Never thought I'd be relying on my wife!"

Benjamin's mouth twitched. He looked at Michael, who seemed pretty pleased with himself, and suddenly felt like punching him in the nose.

"Alright, stop staring at me. Go check on your girlfriend, I'm outta here." Michael patted Benjamin on the shoulder with a smile and left the building.

Benjamin turned to Amelia, feeling a bit helpless.

"Darling, come with me, I need to ask you something." Amelia took Benjamin's hand and led him to a corner.

Benjamin knew what Amelia was going to ask. Before she could speak, he nodded. "Yes, those two women are the bodyguards I arranged for you."

Amelia blinked and looked at Benjamin. "No, I mean I want you to help me find a job."

Benjamin was taken aback, looking at Amelia in surprise. "You don't like your current job?"

Amelia shook her head. "Not really, but I don't hate it either. I took it because the pay is good and it helps with my mom's medical bills. But now, with my dad around, rumors are probably flying all over the company. I don't want to stay there anymore."

Benjamin awkwardly scratched his head. "I thought you were going to ask why I still have bodyguards following you around?"

Amelia rolled her eyes. "I figured out a while ago that those two were your bodyguards. At first, I thought they were just really into me because they were always around. But then I realized they were protecting me, so I guessed they were your doing."

Benjamin felt even more embarrassed, not expecting Amelia to be so sharp.

Suddenly, Amelia grabbed his hand and said softly, "Darling, thank you. If it weren't for your bodyguards, I would've been hurt today."

Feeling the warmth of her hand, Benjamin hugged her. "Don't worry, darling. As long as I'm here, nothing will happen to you. I promise."

Nestling in his arms, Amelia said, "I believe you. But what about my dad? You can't give him any money, or he'll never leave us alone."

Benjamin nodded, his voice steady. "Don't worry, you won't see him again."

Benjamin's eyes narrowed slightly. If Michael couldn't handle it, he would take care of Daniel himself.

Benjamin was usually easy-going, but that didn't mean he didn't have a temper. As a top-notch doctor, his network of contacts was impressive, even to Michael. After all, illness doesn't discriminate, and everyone wants to survive. Knowing a great doctor can make a big difference.

Benjamin had full confidence in Michael. With his methods, dealing with a jerk like Daniel would be a piece of cake.

After leaving Amelia's office, Michael got a call from Isabella.

Isabella sounded tired, like she had just finished a long day. "Darling, how's Amelia? Is she okay? Did she get hurt?"

Michael smiled. "Benjamin took care of it. Amelia's got bodyguards and hasn't been harmed. She's got a powerful best friend and a strong boyfriend; not many people can mess with her."

Isabella sighed in relief but then said, "Knowing Amelia, she'll probably quit her job and look for a new one. But she won't come to me; she'll go to Benjamin."

"Why? Because you're too busy and she doesn't want to bother you?" Michael asked with a grin.

Isabella chuckled. "That's part of it. But don't underestimate Amelia. She's smart. Her relationship with Benjamin is still growing, and having him help her out will strengthen their bond."

"A clever girl. Makes me wonder if my wife is just as clever," Michael joked.

Isabella rolled her eyes. "Alright, enough chit-chat. Go home and rest. I've got a ton of work to do."

Just as Isabella was about to hang up, Michael suddenly asked, "How do you plan to deal with Daniel?"
