Chapter 389

Isabella was feeling a bit bummed; making this movie was gonna be a tough nut to crack.

But for Michael, cash wasn't a problem.

'If Isabella wants to back this movie, her company's execs will definitely shoot it down. It's like betting on a long shot. Unless she uses her own money, which she doesn't have enough of. I gotta figure out a way to get her a big chunk of change fast,' Michael thought, rubbing his chin.

"What's on your mind? Babe, it's late, we should hit the sack," Isabella said, lying on the bed and smiling at the deep-in-thought Michael.

Michael grinned and shrugged, "Just thinking, if I were the hero in a movie, would they put up a bronze statue of me when I sacrifice myself?"

Isabella rolled her eyes and playfully pinched his nose. "So, this time you're not aiming to be King Arthur leading humanity to glory. Instead, you're gearing up to be a hero astronaut saving us from doomsday, huh?"

Michael sat up, striking a pose he thought looked heroic, and joked, "Don't you think I look like a hero?"

Isabella rolled her eyes again. "A hero who needs to take care of his kidneys? Go to sleep, staying up late is bad for your kidneys."

With that, Isabella pulled the blanket over herself, ready to sleep.

Michael's lips twitched. He sighed and turned off the light.

Suddenly, he felt Isabella snuggle into his arms.

"Okay, I was just messing with you earlier. Women need their beauty sleep too. I saw a tiny wrinkle at the corner of my eye today. So, no more late nights, we need our rest," Isabella said, giving Michael a kiss.

"Goodnight, babe," Isabella said.

"Goodnight, my love," Michael replied softly.

The next day, the city was buzzing with news about Estella's insane endorsement deal.

Just as Michael had predicted.

John announced the hundred-million-dollar endorsement fee, and reporters swarmed Bianca's company building.

Bianca held a press conference with some top designers from the company and Estella.

"Ms. Taylor, why are you willing to pay a hundred million dollars for an endorsement?" a reporter asked Bianca.

Bianca smiled and said, "I believe in Ms. Foster's potential. Her future success is worth way more than a hundred million dollars. Building a good relationship with her is totally worth it."

Another reporter turned to Estella. "Ms. Foster, how did you feel when you heard about the hundred-million-dollar endorsement fee?"

Estella smiled. "Honestly, when I heard Ms. Taylor was signing me for a hundred million dollars, I was speechless. I'm so grateful for her belief in me! I'll make sure to do a great job with the endorsement and not let her down."

Another reporter turned to Bianca, "Ms. Taylor, you're dating Mr. Williams, and Ms. Foster is his aunt. Did you really make a hundred-million-dollar deal, or is this just a publicity stunt with a lower actual fee?"

"We've got proof that we really paid the hundred million," Bianca said, pulling up the bank transfer records. The big screen at the press conference showed the number in all its glory.

Bianca smiled at the reporters. "Even though Estella is family, we don't shortchange family!"

"Ms. Foster, how did your husband feel about the hundred-million-dollar endorsement fee?" another reporter asked, curious about Michael's reaction.

Estella kept her cool. "I should've mentioned earlier that I prefer not to discuss my husband in public. He's a very private person. Let's keep the questions focused on me."

The reporter awkwardly scratched his head and moved on to another question.

Suddenly, a reporter asked, "Ms. Taylor, your sister Isabella also has a clothing company, and there are rumors she's planning to sign Ms. Foster too. Are you trying to one-up Isabella?"

This question was pretty touchy since everyone knew about the beef between Bianca and Isabella.

Some reporters wanted to dig deeper, asking about Bianca's past imprisonment and release because of Isabella, but John had bodyguards at the press conference. Anyone who dared to ask those awkward questions wouldn't have a good time.

Bianca was ready for questions about Isabella, so she didn't get flustered.

"It's just business competition. The conflict between Isabella and me isn't as bad as you think. If Isabella is willing to offer a hundred million for an endorsement, I can step back," Bianca answered smartly.

She had signed Estella for a sky-high fee, and it was clear Isabella couldn't match that. In business, the highest bidder wins. Even if it looked like she was targeting Isabella, there was no way to fault her for it.

Some reporters started asking, "Ms. Taylor, regarding the upcoming Olympics, is your company planning to compete for designing the athletes' clothing?"

"Athletes' clothing design? Has the competition started already?" Isabella asked Carol.

Carol nodded. "Yes, the Olympic Committee announced it last night. This competition is a big deal."

Isabella nodded. She had just gotten to the office and heard about Bianca's press conference on the sky-high endorsement fee.

Isabella had wanted to celebrate their successful plan with Carol, but Carol had some important news.

"We have to enter this clothing design competition!" Isabella said firmly. This was crucial for them.
