Chapter 268

Michael understood the power of that card-it was the key to draining every last cent from the family's bank.

Michael knew Isabella was in desperate need of cash, so he decided to keep the card for himself.

"Look, since your dad recorded that video for you, you can easily transfer the money from this card to your account. Just say it's a gift from him," Michael said with a grin.

Isabella's eyes lingered on the card, a thrill of anticipation running through her. She needed this money badly.

"But isn't this kind of sneaky?" Isabella hesitated.

Michael rolled his eyes as he handed her the card. "Babe, have you forgotten how you chased after John for eight years, and how he treated you? That jerk didn't even give you a dime for all the emotional crap he put you through! Remember how you almost lost a kidney because of him? Don't you want some payback?"

A flash of anger crossed Isabella's face. She clenched the bank card tightly and nodded firmly. "You're right, babe. My life is worth way more than this bank card!"

Isabella had made up her mind. At dawn, she would go to the bank and transfer all the money from the card to her account.

That night, the city throbbed with tension. Police sirens wailed, John's men were scrambling, Michael's crew was on high alert, and Paxton's people were equally keyed up.

After all of Paxton's men returned, Jonah briefed Paxton on the casualties.

"Mr. Brown, we had more people than they did this time, so the losses weren't too bad. But we still lost seven or eight guys. Our men ran into John during the chase and shot at him. That might piss off the Williams Family," Jonah said, looking worried.

Paxton smirked. "So what if it does? We've crossed them before. With such a big move, the other two families are probably already suspicious. While they're figuring things out, put all our operations on high alert. We need to avoid any retaliation from the Williams Family. If we can hold out until the other two families get involved, we'll be in the clear."

Paxton quickly gave his orders, and Jonah hurried off to carry them out.

Meanwhile, after tearing into Mike with a rage that nearly consumed him, John was one step away from losing it completely.

Bianca knew the quickest way to calm him down. Without a word, she led him to her bedroom.

In Bianca's bedroom, John lifted her legs and thrust into her with wild abandon.

Bianca's moans filled the room, matching the rhythm of John's relentless thrusts. Each movement was a release of his pent-up fury. Finally, with a shuddering climax, John collapsed onto Bianca, his body trembling in the aftermath of his orgasm.

The aftermath of their lovemaking left John feeling momentarily numb, his mind a calm sea, as serene as a monk in meditation.

John lay on the bed, breathing steadily. Bianca squeezed her legs together, trying to keep his semen inside her, hoping to get pregnant. It would be a big advantage for her if she did.

Resting her head on John's chest, Bianca traced gentle patterns across his skin.

"It's okay, babe, I can wait a bit longer. We can figure out other ways to get those shares. At least Isabella won't get them either," Bianca said with a reassuring smile.

John sighed. No regrets about tonight, but he just hated being played.

Suddenly, the phone on the table rang. John frowned, picked it up, and saw it was an unfamiliar number.

When John answered the call, his previously calm emotions flared up again.

"Mike, you got some nerve calling me, you bastard!" John spat, his voice tight with barely restrained anger.

A soft, almost mocking laugh came from the other end. "Mr. Williams, no need to get so worked up. I'm just a servant to your uncle. Of course, I had to take that thing."

"So, you're calling me now because my uncle sent you to rub it in?" John asked coldly.

Mike's voice was calm but had a touch of urgency. "John, you've got it wrong. Your uncle has no idea I'm calling you. I'm reaching out to see if you're interested in making a deal."

"A deal? What kind of deal?" John asked, his suspicion evident.

Mike laughed softly on the other end. "Come on, John, what other deal could there be? I'm talking about the contracts. How much are you willing to pay to get your hands on them?"

"You want to sell me the contracts? Aren't you worried my uncle will come after you?" John sneered, still wary of Mike's intentions.

Mike's tone turned serious. "John, it doesn't matter if Bianca or Isabella gets the shares. They are just outsiders after all. Even though you and your uncle are at odds, you're still family. Helping you isn't betraying him. Plus, if I hand these contracts over to your uncle, I'll just get a pat on the back. But if I sell them to you, I stand to gain a lot more."

John frowned. Mike's logic was sound, but he couldn't trust someone from his uncle's side.

"Cut to the chase, Mike. What's your real angle here? I don't have time for games," John said, his voice cold and impatient.

Mike let out a resigned sigh before responding, "Okay, Mr. Williams, you got me. Here's the deal: Jasper's been arrested. He got shot and he's in a coma at the hospital. When he wakes up, I'm sure he'll sign a contract with you, and I'll be left with nothing."

John and Bianca, who had been eavesdropping, exchanged shocked looks. Jasper's arrest was a bombshell.

Mike pressed on, "So, Mr. Williams, are you up for making a deal with me?"
