Chapter 383
Isabella never thought Carol would actually go along with Michael's idea.
"Do you really think I'm the right fit to be a spokesperson?" Isabella asked, raising an eyebrow.
Carol nodded confidently. "Absolutely. With how popular you are in this city right now, you'd bring a ton of attention to our company!"
Isabella mulled over Carol's words. It made sense. She'd gained quite a following online, mostly because of all the drama with her family and Bianca. People were always leaving supportive comments on her social media.
"Alright, if you both think it's a good idea, I'll give it a shot," Isabella finally agreed with a nod. It seemed like the best move for now.
Just then, Carol's phone rang. As she answered, her expression shifted.
Isabella watched, curiosity piqued.
When Carol hung up, Isabella asked, "What's up?"
Carol looked at her and said, "Your sister's started a new company in the fashion industry too. She's been asking about our offer to sign Estella."
Carol shrugged, a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Bianca's in fashion too? This is definitely aimed at me. Looks like John's fallen for Bianca's tricks again," Isabella sneered.
"What are you gonna do? Bianca thinks we want Estella as our spokesperson. Can we use that against her?" Carol asked.
Isabella nodded. "Oh, definitely. Since she's asking for a quote, tell her we're ready to offer Ms. Foster an $80 million annual salary for the endorsement."
Carol blinked, looking a bit taken aback. "So you want Bianca to chase Estella with a hundred million dollars! But isn't $80 million a bit much? Will she buy it?"
"Banks loan money, why not for an endorsement fee? It's just fake news anyway, just a phone call," Isabella chuckled, pulling out her phone to call Mason.
Mason was a bit surprised by Isabella's call. After hearing her plan, he chuckled and shook his head.
"You're really planning to outsmart John," Mason laughed.
Bianca doesn't have that kind of money. In the end, John will have to foot the bill.
Isabella smiled at Mason. "I'm not forcing him to pay for Bianca. It's still John's decision. If he doesn't want to pay, no one can make him. And even if he does, so what? Ms. Foster is John's uncle's wife, part of the Williams Family. It's not like the money's going to an outsider."
Isabella's words amused Mason. He eventually nodded, agreeing to go along with her plan.
After hanging up, Isabella turned to Carol with a smile. "See, problem solved."
Carol gave her a thumbs up. "I knew I made the right choice. You're way smarter than Bianca."
Meanwhile, Mason was mulling over Isabella's plan. He couldn't just call John and tell him Isabella wanted $80 million for Estella's endorsement. That would raise too many red flags. He needed the right moment.
Mason thought for a bit and called Charles over, explaining Isabella's scheme.
"How do I get John over here? What excuse should I use?" Mason asked.
Charles, with a wry smile, was surprised Mason was helping someone plot against John.
After some thought, Charles came up with a plan.
"Mr. Williams, even though Ms. Taylor isn't exactly our favorite person, the baby she's carrying is still part of our family. You could send me to deliver some mother and baby products to John. When he gets them, he'll be curious and ask questions. That's when I can drop the hint about the endorsement, and he'll likely tell Bianca," Charles suggested.
Mason thought it over and smiled. "Good idea. Go ahead and pick out some nice mother and baby products."
"Got it, Mr. Williams. I'll go get them now," Charles nodded and left the villa.
An hour later, Charles drove to John's vineyard. John had been staying there to avoid potential threats, thinking danger could come from the four major families and Isabella's fight for shares.
Now that Isabella had all the family shares and was in charge, there was no need to target Bianca anymore.
But with Bianca pregnant, John was still keeping her safe at the vineyard.
When John heard Charles was visiting, he was visibly surprised.
John hurried out to greet Charles and was even more surprised to see him unloading mother and baby products from the car.
"Are these from my grandpa?" John asked, astonished.
Bianca stood beside John, her face lighting up with excitement and joy.
If Mason had arranged all this, it meant he was starting to accept her, all because of the baby she was carrying.
Charles smiled and nodded. "Yes, Mr. John Williams. Your grandpa sent these. Even though Ms. Taylor has made mistakes, the baby is still part of the Williams Family. Mr. Mason Williams said the child is innocent."
Charles' message was clear. Mason sent the gifts for the baby, not Bianca. Until the baby was born, Bianca couldn't enter the Williams Villa.
Bianca looked a bit embarrassed but didn't say anything.
John sighed softly. "Thank my grandpa for me. By the way, how has he been lately? Is everything okay at home?"
Charles was about to speak when he glanced at Bianca and suddenly stopped.
Bianca got the hint. She smiled and said, "You two go ahead and talk. I'll have someone bring these inside."
My friend Bianca Tate's first book, My Uncle, My Lover, is out now if you wanna check it out. Love you all ❤️"
