Chapter 331

Bianca's face changed the second she spotted Isabella.

Her eyes flashed with resentment, but she quickly pulled herself together when John glanced her way.

"Isabella, what are you even talking about?" Bianca said, looking hurt but staying put in the president's seat.

"I didn't mean to keep you in the dark. I just wanted to wait a bit before sharing the news with you. But since you're here now, I'll spill the beans," Bianca said with a faint smile.

Isabella sneered, not really caring, and took her usual seat across from Bianca.

"For you information, I am the CEO here, and you called this meeting with notifying me. What's in your mind? Worried I'm too busy to show up?" Isabella smirked.

The execs in the room kept their heads down, feeling the tension like a ticking bomb.

"Isabella, you used to be the CEO, but after today, that might change," Bianca said coldly, tapping the table.

Isabella tapped the table back, looking at Bianca with a playful grin, and ran her hand through her hair. "Sorry, cousin, I don't get what you're saying. How am I not the CEO? If I remember right, I'm the only shareholder now, right?"

Bianca's smile turned icy. Just as she was about to say more, John slammed the table impatiently.

"Enough with the fake niceties," John shot a diapproving glance at Bianca.

Bianca pouted, frustrated. Her plan was to rile Isabella up and then crush her.

She had the funds and could become the biggest shareholder anytime.

But John didn't want to waste time. His business had just escaped the grip of the three major families, and he had a lot on his plate. He wasn't in the mood to play along with Bianca.

John looked at Isabella and said calmly, "Isabella, let's cut to the chase. According to the agreement, whoever covers your father's debt gets his shares and becomes the largest shareholder."

The execs in the room eyed Isabella, curious about her next move. Was she going to borrow money from Mason?

Isabella crossed her legs, leaned back, and looked at John with her arms crossed.

"If I'm not mistaken, the deal is whoever finds the money my dad embezzled becomes the largest shareholder. Are you saying you found it?" Isabella said with a faint smile.

John nodded. "Yes, we found the money your dad hid in Novaria. Sadly, he died in a local gang conflict. When our people found him, he was almost dead and handed over the money before he passed away."

The execs in the room stared at John in shock. Jasper dead? And in a gang conflict? It sounded ridiculous.

Everyone knew Jasper had crossed John before. With John's temper, it wasn't far-fetched to think he might've had Jasper killed and blamed it on a gang. But even if they suspected, no one dared to voice it. That'd be career suicide.

Isabella raised an eyebrow, giving John a once-over like she was seeing him for the first time.

"Since when did you become a storyteller?" Isabella laughed.

The old John wasn't kind to Isabella, but he never lied to her. Maybe he thought she wasn't worth lying to.

The execs were amazed; only Isabella had the guts to mock John like that!

Bianca smirked at Isabella, eager to see how long she'd keep her cool.

John felt a twinge of discomfort under Isabella's mocking gaze.

"Believe it or not, that's what your father said," John snorted.

He signaled to Bianca, who pulled out her laptop.

She connected it to the big screen in the room, showing bank transfer details.

"Look closely," Bianca said, pointing to the screen. "The transfer's from a Novaria bank, and the amount matches what Jasper embezzled."

Bianca watched for Isabella's reaction, but she stayed calm.

Isabella's eyes shifted to the execs' faces.

Their expressions were telling. Except for Carol and a few others who stayed neutral, most seemed to side with Bianca.

A male exec smiled and said, "I believe Ms. Bianca Taylor and Mr. Williams wouldn't lie about this. It seems Jasper did hide the money in Novaria."

With one person backing Bianca, others quickly followed.

"Yes, since Ms. Bianca Taylor recovered the embezzled money, she's the largest shareholder."

"Ms. Isabella Taylor, from now on, Ms. Bianca Taylor is our true CEO."

"Ms. Isabella Taylor, unless you find another stash of money, you have no right to stay in this company."

Some execs even started mocking Isabella.

Carol watched Isabella, expecting anger, but she stayed calm.

Suddenly, Isabella clapped her hands and smiled.

Her demeanor silenced the bickering execs.

Isabella's gaze swept over them indifferently. "I gave you all a chance, but it seems you can't handle it. So, it's not my fault."

Then she looked at John. "You said my father gave you the money. So, where's his body?"
