Chapter 351

After Michael finished talking, Isabella was taken aback for a second, then let out a helpless laugh.

"So, people really do laugh when they're feeling helpless," Isabella said, shaking her head. She then walked with Michael towards Benjamin's room. They pressed their ears against the door but heard nothing except steady breathing.

"Looks like they're asleep," Isabella said, sounding a bit let down.

Michael shrugged. "Let's go. They're probably just wiped out from the flight. We should get some rest too."

Isabella and Michael headed back to their room. Not long after they left, the door creaked open. Benjamin peeked out cautiously, then sighed in relief.

"You were right, they were definitely eavesdropping outside our door," Benjamin said, turning to Amelia with a grin.

Amelia smirked, then pulled Benjamin back inside and shut the door.

"I know Isabella too well. We're best friends, after all," Amelia said, lying down in her pajamas.

Benjamin lay on the other side of the bed, both of them under separate blankets, neither saying a word.

The room was super quiet, with only the sound of their breathing and heartbeats.

Benjamin's heart was pounding. He asked tentatively, "Babe, are you cold? I'm feeling kinda warm. If you're cold, I can be your pillow."

Amelia turned away from him. "Don't think I don't know what you're up to. You better drop your little schemes. We're still in the evaluation stage."

Benjamin sighed and shook his head, pushing all his thoughts deep down.

The room went silent again. After a while, Amelia said, "I'm warning you, don't sneak into my blanket while I'm asleep. If you do, you'll be the dumbest creature on earth!"

Benjamin rolled his eyes. "Are you questioning my character?"

Amelia didn't respond, just snorted.

Benjamin snorted back, turned his back to her, and eventually fell asleep, determined to prove his character that night.

But the next morning, they were woken up by their phone alarms. Benjamin got up and turned off the alarm. He noticed their blankets were still separate.

"See, I told you I have good character. I didn't do anything!" Benjamin said proudly.

But Amelia didn't look pleased. She grabbed a pillow and chucked it at him.

"You're worse than an animal!" Amelia snapped, then got up and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

Benjamin scratched his head, holding the pillow. "Why is she mad? I didn't sneak into her blanket. My character is solid! Shouldn't she be praising me for being a gentleman?"

Benjamin was still puzzled about why Amelia was angry. Even after they freshened up, got dressed, and were ready to head to the snowy mountains, he was still mulling over the question.

They had already planned out their entire trip and even lined up a photographer while staying at the hotel. This time, a travel agency at the base of the snowy mountains picked them up.

Isabella and Amelia had carefully chosen this travel agency as the best one. They handled all the travel details, and the photographers were top-notch, having worked with some international celebrities.

During the car ride, the tour guide in the front seat was going on about safety tips, beautiful spots, local snacks, and attractions.

Michael wasn't really into it. He'd been to this country a few times for business and knew the culture pretty well. Right now, he was more worried about Benjamin.

Benjamin seemed lost in thought.

Isabella and Amelia were all ears to the tour guide, chatting about where to take photos next and what outfits to wear for different poses.

Michael, sitting next to Benjamin, leaned in and asked softly, "What's up? You seem really down."

Benjamin sighed. "I don't know what I did to make Amelia mad."

He quietly filled Michael in on what happened last night.

Michael looked at him in surprise and asked quietly, "So you really didn't sneak into Amelia's blanket last night?"

Even though Michael's voice was low, Benjamin could still sense the shock in his tone.

Frowning, Benjamin looked at Michael, annoyed. "Even if Amelia doubts my character, you shouldn't! Without her permission, I would never sneak into her blanket at night."

Michael looked at him helplessly. "I really don't get why I ever asked you for advice on relationships."

Benjamin could see the disdain in Michael's eyes, which made him even more confused and annoyed.

"What's going on? Do you know something? Spill it," Benjamin asked softly.

Sensing Benjamin's anxiety, Michael rolled his eyes and explained, "If Amelia really minded you sneaking into her blanket, why would she share a bed with you? It means she's accepted you, and you just need a bit of boldness and courage."

Benjamin was stunned. He looked at Michael in disbelief.

"Are you saying Amelia actually wanted me to sneak into her blanket last night?" Benjamin asked, shocked.

Michael nodded, patting Benjamin's shoulder. "Looks like I was wrong before. You might have some unique insights into pursuing women, but when it comes to love, you're not as sharp as me. Remember, when a woman says no, it often means yes."

Benjamin finally got it. He regretfully tapped his head and said angrily, "No wonder she called me worse than an animal this morning. I really am! Don't worry, I know what to do now."
