Chapter 411

Bianca gave John a call back.

John was in the car, almost at the office when his female bodyguard called.

"I've got stuff to handle. If it's not urgent, tell Bianca to wait at home," John said, sounding annoyed.

With the Olympics coming up, his company had a ton of important projects with the Olympic Committee. He loved Bianca, but he couldn't put all his energy into her right now.

The female bodyguard didn't give much detail, just said Bianca needed to talk to him.

Bianca, who was nearby, couldn't wait any longer. She thought the bodyguard was taking too long.

"Can't you see how urgent this is from my face?" Bianca snapped, grabbing the phone from the bodyguard. It took a lot of guts for her to make this call.

"Darling, come back quick. I have something super important to tell you, and it's about that car explosion we had last time," Bianca said to John.

John's brows knitted together. He still hadn't gotten any solid info on the car explosion. All he knew was those three guys never came out after going into a community.

Rumors among the big families suggested Michael might be behind it, trying to take John out and become the family heir.

But a lot of people doubted it because John's dad, Owen, was still capable of having kids. After John's mom passed away, Owen never remarried, but he could still have another kid to keep the family line going.

In short, John was important, but not irreplaceable.

John rubbed his temples, feeling annoyed. "Alright, I'm coming back now. I hope you have a good explanation," he said.

After hanging up, John told the driver to turn around and head back.

Bianca walked over to the sofa and sat down, her fingers twisting together, showing how nervous she was.

'Forget it, this is gonna come out sooner or later. My reputation can't get any worse. Everyone already thinks I'm a bad person, so no point in pretending,' Bianca thought.

John told the driver to hurry up and got to the winery as fast as possible.

As soon as the car stopped, John jumped out and headed inside.

He saw Bianca sitting on the sofa and frowned. "Didn't you have something to tell me? What's going on? Do you know anything about the explosion last time?" he asked, clearly annoyed.

Bianca looked up at John, her eyes a bit shifty. She hesitated, then finally spilled the truth.

"I think Paxton was behind the explosion last time," Bianca said, looking at John.

"Paxton? No way. Is he nuts? Why would he bomb me?" John stared at Bianca, not believing her because Paxton had no reason to do that.

Bianca shook her head. "Actually, Paxton wasn't trying to kill you; he was after me. He thinks I had something to do with what happened to his daughter."

"You? How could that be? You were in the hospital at the time. There's no way you could've done it," John said, eyes wide with shock.

Bianca looked down and said quietly, "The kidnapping of Isabella was planned by Pearl and me. We didn't expect Pearl to get hurt while I stayed safe. Paxton probably thought it was unfair and wanted revenge."

John stared at her, disbelief all over his face.

Bianca kept her head down, avoiding his gaze.

John's body shook slightly. He took a deep breath, his eyes bloodshot as he asked, "Is what you're saying true? Answer me."

After a moment of silence, Bianca finally nodded.

John slapped her hard across the face, angrier than he'd ever been.

Bianca covered her face, looking at John in shock. He rarely hit her.

With bloodshot eyes, John jabbed a finger at her and demanded, "You said all of this was because Jasper and Mia pressured you, but now you're claiming you conspired with Pearl? How can you be so heartless? You didn't just want Isabella's kidney; you wanted her life too!"

Bianca covered her face. Having revealed everything, there was no point in hiding anymore.

"Yes, it was me. I wanted Isabella dead! Do you still love her? If you do, avenge her now." Bianca tilted her head back, a hint of madness in her voice.

John trembled with anger, unable to speak for a while as he pointed at her.

After a long pause, John sighed deeply.

He sat down on the sofa, his expression heavy.

"So you told me this today because you were worried Paxton wouldn't find the real culprit and would come after you again, right?" John looked up, asking indifferently.

Bianca nodded. "That's what I was thinking."

John rubbed his temples wearily and lay back on the sofa.

Seeing John's exhausted appearance, Bianca realized he had been working tirelessly for her and his company. He must have been under a lot of pressure.

Feeling guilty, Bianca walked over to John, hugged him, and cried, "I'm sorry, darling. It's all my fault for being too weak to tell you about this."

John didn't push her away but sighed deeply. "At least you've told me now. I don't have to worry about being blown up on the street."

John rubbed his temples wearily and then took out his phone.

"Immediately investigate Paxton's whereabouts. Also, look into the recent activities of the Brown Family's subordinates and Joe's whereabouts." After instructing his subordinates, John suddenly remembered someone.

John called Mike and asked him to help find Joe as well.
