Chapter 461

After chatting with Mason today, Michael realized he needed to give Isabella more chances to stand on her own. He couldn't always be there to handle everything for her. If something happened to him, she'd be lost, and that wouldn't be good.

When Michael asked his question, Isabella just smiled. "It's simple. The gang loyal to Paxton has been reaching out to me lately. I don't really like these guys, but sometimes I need their help."

Michael raised an eyebrow, surprised that Isabella, who usually hated dealing with criminals, was actually using them.

"What do these gang members want from you?" Michael asked.

Isabella shrugged. "Nothing major, just some financial stuff. Sometimes I need them to find someone or handle some tricky situations. Like this time, Daniel owed a debt at a casino run by one of the gang members, and that's how he found Amelia."

"So you're planning to have the gang threaten Daniel? Not a bad idea. These guys look way scarier than the cops," Michael thought Isabella's approach was pretty smart.

Sometimes you need bad guys to deal with bad guys, and it might work out better.

But Isabella laughed and shook her head. "Who said I want the gang to threaten Daniel and keep him away from Amelia? I have a different plan."

"What's your plan? Come on, tell me, I'm curious," Michael asked with a grin.

Isabella didn't hesitate and said with a smile, "I'm having those gang members help Daniel quit drinking and gambling, to make him a better person."

"Having gangsters teach him to be a good person?" Michael was stunned, finding this idea pretty wild.

Isabella nodded, her laughter coming through the phone.

"You think this is funny, like something out of a comedy movie, right? That's exactly how I see it too. How about we bet on whether these gangsters can really turn Daniel into a good person?" Isabella said, laughing.

A smile spread across Michael's face, curious to see if this plan would actually work.

As for Daniel's opinion? Well, no one really cared.

"Since you want to bet, let's bet $10,000, what do you say?" Michael asked, just for fun.

But Isabella turned him down.

"No, sweetheart, I don't want to bet money with you anymore, it's no fun. I want to bet on something else," Isabella said with a mischievous smile.

Confused, Michael asked, "What do you want to bet on?"

Isabella leaned closer to the phone and whispered, "Once you're fully healed, I want to make love to you seven times!"

Michael was taken aback, his expression turning serious. He grimaced slightly. If he hadn't been shot in the chest, he could have enjoyed some intimate moments with Isabella in a couple of nights.

But now, with his recovery still in progress, that plan would have to wait.

Sensing Michael's silence, Isabella asked impatiently, "What's wrong? Sweetheart, you're not having trouble in that department, are you?"

Michael cleared his throat awkwardly, forcing a smile. "No, sweetheart, never say a man can't perform. I can definitely perform. "Whether it's seven times, seventeen times, or even seventy times, I can satisfy you!"" Michael's tone was firm, feeling the need to prove himself. It was a matter of pride.

Isabella covered her mouth and laughed. "Sweetheart, you're quite the fierce tiger! But let's forget about 70 times in one night. Although the number is high, the time is too short. I wouldn't enjoy it that way."

Even if it was just 7 times, Michael found it quite challenging.

"Okay, sweetheart, I have to get back to work. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up," Isabella smiled and then ended the call.

Michael looked at his phone, now disconnected, his expression somewhat grim. His gaze shifted from the phone to his crotch.

"Seven times, damn it, I wonder if I'm up for it," Michael muttered to himself.

Meanwhile, Daniel had been released from the police station. Despite his abusive behavior, there was no evidence against him, so the police couldn't hold him for long, much to his satisfaction.

"It seems those two bitches are still afraid of me. I must torture them severely, let them know they can never escape from me. And that wealthy doctor, I just don't know which hospital he's from," Daniel boasted to the air.

Suddenly, Daniel felt a hand pat his shoulder. He turned around in confusion and saw the two people behind him, his expression turning sour.

"Jake? Why are you here at the police station to greet me?" Daniel asked, forcing a pleasant expression as he looked at the crew-cut man in front of him.

Jake Penrose was the casino owner Daniel met while gambling. He was a gangster. Most importantly, Daniel owed Jake a lot of money, which he couldn't repay, hence why he went to see Amelia.

Jake looked at Daniel with a hint of disgust in his eyes. Thinking about what he was about to do next, Jake's eyes took on a strange look.

"Daniel, I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?" Jake suddenly smiled.

Looking puzzled, Daniel asked, "Jake, can you tell me the good news first?"

Jake nodded. "Someone has paid off your debt."

Daniel's face lit up with joy, immediately guessing Amelia had paid the money.

"That's great, I can go play a couple more hands." Just as Daniel was getting excited, he suddenly remembered that Jake mentioned bad news.

"Jake, what's the bad news you mentioned..." Before Daniel could finish his sentence, several burly men tied him up.

With a smile on his face, Jake said to Daniel, "From today onwards, I'm going to turn you into a good person."
