Chapter 361

Isabella shot Michael a suspicious glance.

Michael gulped, feeling a bit jittery.

Right then, Benjamin's voice cut through the tension.

"Everyone's in the car, what are you two still doing here?" Benjamin urged them to hurry up.

Michael's eyes lit up, and he quickly pulled Benjamin aside. "I told Isabella we were just high school buddies, but I mentioned college because of Lila. Now she thinks we're lying. You need to explain."

Benjamin was momentarily stunned, staring at Michael in shock. His eyes seemed to say, 'Your lie got busted, and now you want me to cover for you?'

But Benjamin knew he had to come up with something. 'Since you started this mess, don't blame me,' he thought, smirking slightly.

Isabella watched Benjamin, waiting for an explanation.

Benjamin smiled at her and said, "Actually, Michael and I go way back. We were not just high school classmates but also college buddies. We even grew up together. Our families lived far apart, so we mostly hung out at school."

His words made sense to Isabella, explaining why Michael had known him since childhood.

Benjamin paused, rubbing his hands, looking a bit embarrassed.

"Why didn't we mention college? Well, we both have some pretty embarrassing stories from back then. Too humiliating to share, so we agreed to keep it between us. That's why he only mentioned high school." Benjamin finished, glancing at Michael.

"Yeah, that's it. We know some pretty embarrassing stuff about each other," Michael quickly nodded in agreement.

Isabella eyed Benjamin skeptically, thinking the story sounded fishy.

"Is that so? Then tell me, what embarrassing things did Michael do in college?" Isabella asked calmly.

Michael froze, unable to recall any embarrassing moments.

But Benjamin grinned.

"Do you really want to hear about your husband's embarrassing moments? Aren't you worried he'll be mortified?" Benjamin smirked, turning to Michael.

Michael snorted, "Isabella's my wife. She can hear anything. Go ahead, spill some of my embarrassing stories. Let's see what you got."

Isabella looked at Benjamin expectantly.

Benjamin chuckled, "Isabella, you might not know this, but your husband used to wear women's clothing. And not just any clothing-lace camisole pajamas."

Michael was stunned, and so was Isabella.

Michael racked his brain until he remembered an embarrassing incident buried deep in his memory.

"I remember it was April Fools' Day. We came back from playing basketball, all sweaty. The bathroom in our dorm was busted, so Michael had to use the school's public bathroom. We thought it would be funny to swap his clothes in the locker with a lace camisole," Benjamin finished, glancing at Michael with a polite smile.

Isabella burst into laughter, starting with a giggle and ending up squatting on the ground, clutching her stomach. She pictured serious Michael strutting from the bathroom to the dorm in a lace camisole.

"Come on, why'd you stop? Keep going!" Isabella urged after catching her breath.

Benjamin shook his head, "I think you can guess the rest. Someone took a photo and was planning to post it on the school forum, but his admirers reported it."

Michael sneered and shook his head. "I remember now. You didn't continue because the ending was too much for everyone."

Isabella looked up, curious, "Is there a twist to this story?"

Benjamin looked embarrassed, wanting to cover Michael's mouth, but Michael pushed him aside.

Michael smirked, "Those idiots who pranked me left me with that lace camisole, making me walk back to the dorm in it. A lot of people saw me, including those fools. I knew my reputation was shot, so I decided to take them down with me."

Isabella's curiosity peaked, wanting to know what Michael did.

Benjamin looked even more embarrassed, almost grim.

"You guys take your time chatting; I need to hit the road," Benjamin said, heading to the driver's seat.

Isabella and Michael walked slowly towards the car.

As they walked, Michael said, "Among those who mocked me, Benjamin and his friends laughed the hardest. So, I walked up to them. I kissed each of them on the face and then hugged them as we entered the dorm together. Now, our entire dorm's reputation was tarnished."

Isabella looked at Michael in shock, then gave him a thumbs up. "Darling, you're amazing! Turning the tables like that!"

Michael smiled faintly, "Honestly, I don't care much about others' mockery. It was April Fools' Day, and I don't care about others' opinions of me. That's why I didn't remember this incident."

Isabella chose to believe Michael because she felt he was that kind of person.

"Can you tell me more about your college experiences?" Isabella asked, getting into the car, her eyes shining with excitement.

"No way!" Benjamin and Michael said in unison.

Isabella pouted, "Just now you said you didn't care! You guys are so hypocritical."

They drove off and soon arrived at the ski resort. After changing into their ski gear, they hit the slopes.

However, Benjamin didn't feel as good during this skiing trip.
