Chapter 350
A staff member was trying to calm the woman down.
Isabella walked up to another staff member and asked what was going on.
The staff member chuckled, "She found out her husband was cheating and came here with just a photo of the other woman's back. She thought you were the other woman because you were dressed exactly the same, right down to the shoes and bag."
Isabella didn't care about the matching outfits; she just wanted to know where the couple had gone.
The staff member went on, "Actually, the guy didn't cheat. He's legally married to the woman here, but he hid that marriage and married another woman abroad. So, technically, the crying woman is the mistress."
"Men will do anything to cheat. I bet he thought she'd never come to another country to catch him," Amelia said, glancing at Benjamin and Michael.
Benjamin rolled his eyes, "Why are you looking at me? I travel a lot, but I don't even have a wife or a girlfriend."
Michael shrugged, "Same here."
Just then, the crying woman wiped her tears, walked over to Isabella, and said something Isabella couldn't understand.
"She says her name is Elise Sinclair. She made a mistake and caused you trouble. She hopes you can forgive her for acting impulsively," Michael translated.
"Tell her I forgive her and hope she won't be fooled by men again," Isabella said sympathetically.
Michael translated Isabella's words to Elise.
After thanking Isabella, Elise got into the elevator. She had a room in the hotel to catch her husband in the act.
After soaking in the hot springs, the group headed back to their rooms.
Isabella and Michael lay on the bed, cuddling and browsing online for local food and unique customs.
Suddenly, Michael felt Isabella's hand wandering to his lower abdomen.
Michael smiled wryly and pulled her hand out of his pants. "Babe, we need to rest early, adjust to the time difference, and we have to take wedding photos tomorrow. We need to save our energy, especially since we have to climb a snow mountain."
Isabella pouted and hummed in annoyance.
Outside their room, Amelia and Benjamin were eavesdropping at the door, looking puzzled.
"You said they're usually very active. Why is it so quiet tonight?" Amelia whispered to Benjamin.
Benjamin smiled bitterly, "Maybe they're just tired. But isn't it rude to eavesdrop?"
"What are you worried about? Can't you satisfy my curiosity?" Amelia rolled her eyes and kept listening.
Suddenly, they heard nothing from the room. As they wondered, the door swung open, and Benjamin and Amelia, caught off guard, fell to the ground.
They looked up to see Isabella and Michael staring down at them.
The atmosphere was super awkward.
Isabella looked at Benjamin and Amelia and asked, "Why are you two still up so late, and why are you eavesdropping at my door?"
Amelia was mortified. She couldn't exactly say she wanted to see if Isabella and Michael were really capable of going at it all night like they claimed.
Amelia suddenly pointed at Benjamin and said, "It's Benjamin. He said he had something to tell you."
Benjamin was caught off guard, pointing at himself, "Me? When did I say that?"
Amelia glared at him and twisted his waist. Benjamin winced in pain and nodded helplessly.
"Yeah, that's right, I had something to tell you. I wanted to ask about your plans for tomorrow," Benjamin stammered out a lame excuse.
Michael gave him a cold look. "Didn't we already plan everything for tomorrow?"
Benjamin scratched his head awkwardly. "Yeah, I know. I just wanted to see if there was anything else you needed to add."
"Nope." Isabella and Michael shook their heads in unison.
"If there's nothing else, we'll head out. It's late, and we need to rest up for the mountain climb tomorrow," Benjamin said, stretching and quickly pulling Amelia back to their room.
As the door of the opposite room closed, Isabella rolled her eyes.
"Amelia's getting more and more mischievous, and now Benjamin's joining in," Isabella said, closing the door.
Actually, Michael and Isabella hadn't noticed them eavesdropping at first, but the shadows under the door gave them away.
Michael shrugged. "Don't think too highly of Benjamin. He was always a prankster in school. Those two are definitely a pair of jokers."
Isabella got back into bed and pulled up the covers. "Alright, babe, let's not talk about them anymore. It's time to rest."
Michael lay down and turned off the light.
About an hour later, Isabella quietly slipped out of bed.
She walked to the door and gently opened it. Just as she was about to leave, she heard Michael's voice behind her.
"It's late. Where are you going? And don't tell me you're going to the bathroom; there's no need to sneak around like a thief," Michael joked, walking up behind her.
Isabella turned around with an embarrassed smile. "Would you believe me if I said I was afraid of waking you up?"
Michael shook his head.
After a moment of silence, Isabella sighed, "Okay, I actually wanted to eavesdrop outside Amelia's room. They did it to us, so it's only fair."
Michael turned her around, grabbed her shoulders, and looked into her eyes. "What you're doing isn't right."
Isabella spread her hands in resignation. "You're right. Eavesdropping is really rude."
Michael shook his head. "I didn't mean that. I meant, why didn't you bring me along when you were planning to eavesdrop?"
