Chapter 381

After making plans, Michael and Jerry hopped on the plane back home.

Later that night, Isabella got home and noticed the lights were on, which made her a bit uneasy.

She cautiously stepped inside, gripping a baseball bat she grabbed from behind the door, only to see Michael coming out of the kitchen with a plate in his hand.

"Planning to whack me with that bat?" Michael asked, grinning.

Isabella rolled her eyes. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming back today? I thought there was a burglar in the house."

She dropped the bat on the floor and walked over to hug Michael.

With one hand holding the plate and the other ruffling Isabella's hair, Michael kissed her on the forehead.

"When you think there's a thief in the house, the first thing you should do is call security, not charge in with a bat, got it?" Michael said, sounding a bit scolding.

Nodding in his arms, Isabella realized how much she had missed him. Even though they talked on the phone sometimes, it just wasn't the same.

"Alright, wash your hands and let's have a late-night snack," Michael smiled, gently pushing her away and setting the plate on the table.

"I got back late and saw you weren't home, so I figured you were working overtime. You've probably been too busy to eat dinner. Come and try what I made." Michael smiled warmly, watching Isabella come out of the bathroom and sit down to eat.

"I am a bit hungry. Work's been crazy lately," Isabella said as she dug into the food, filling Michael in on the latest at the company.

Sitting across from her, Michael listened quietly. When Isabella mentioned that Carol wanted her to find a spokesperson, Michael grinned.

"Looking for a celebrity to endorse your products?" he asked, still smiling.

Isabella nodded. "Yeah, got any good suggestions? Don't worry, I won't get jealous of a female celebrity."

Leaning back in his chair, Michael looked at her. "You don't need a celebrity. There's a perfect spokesperson right here."

Isabella paused, giving him a strange look. "You want to endorse our company? Come on, we sell women's clothing! Remember when you wore women's clothes in college? It was a disaster. I can't go through that again."

Michael waved his hand, looking a bit exasperated. "How did you come up with that? I mean you should endorse your company's products."

Isabella hesitated, pointing to herself. "Me? But I'm the CEO."

Michael gestured up and down at her. "First of all, do you think you're beautiful?"

Isabella nodded. "Of course, I'm beautiful. Back then, the line of guys chasing me could stretch all the way to Imperial City."

"Then can you ask one of them to bring me a bottle of wine?" Michael joked with a smile.

Rolling her eyes, Isabella said, "Enough, let's not joke around."

Michael shook his head with a smile. "I'm not joking, babe. You're gorgeous and have a great figure. Plus, you're the CEO. It's perfect for you to endorse your own products. You won't have to worry about any celebrity scandals affecting the company."

Isabella thought about it for a moment, then shook her head with a bitter smile. "Let's just forget it. I really don't want to be in the spotlight."

"Babe, it's not about being a celebrity. You're just endorsing your own products. Trust me, people are tired of those weird celebrities. Public figures aren't just celebrities; they include amazing CEOs like you," Michael insisted.

He knew she needed some time to warm up to the idea, so he didn't push her.

"Alright, it's late. Let's think about it tomorrow. Get some rest tonight. Tomorrow's another busy day," Michael said, walking over to massage her forehead to help her relax.

Isabella nodded, holding his hand with a smile. "So, did you finish everything on your business trip?"

Michael nodded. "Yep, everything went smoothly! I just showed up, and the clients were all like, 'We want to keep signing contracts with you!'"

Isabella rolled her eyes. "You really know how to joke! Do you think you're King Arthur or something?"

Michael chuckled, "Maybe I was King Arthur in a past life."

Smiling, Isabella got up from the chair. "I'm done eating. Time to brush my teeth and hit the sack."

She kissed Michael on the corner of his mouth and headed to the bathroom.

Michael started cleaning up the plates and got ready to wash them in the kitchen.

From the bathroom, Isabella called out, "Michael, don't forget to take your medicine."

Michael's face stiffened, and he forced a smile. "Got it, babe. Just to clarify, it's for maintenance, not treatment!"

Even though he said that, Michael went to the fridge, took out a bag of medicine, and put it in hot water.

Meanwhile, Bianca took out the hot medicine from the water, opened the bag, and drank it all.

The medicine tasted bitter, but for the sake of her unborn child, Bianca endured the nausea and finished it.

"The weather's nice today. I hope you bring me some good news," Bianca said, sitting down and popping a piece of candy into her mouth.

Her assistant, Daphne Rose, smiled. "Ms. Taylor, with Mr. Williams' help, we've signed several good designers. The first batch of clothing samples will be ready soon. Once they're done, we can look for celebrities to endorse them."

Lying on the lounger, the sunlight warming her face, Bianca felt very comfortable.

After hearing Daphne's words, Bianca nodded lightly.

"Oh, by the way, how's Isabella's company doing?" Bianca asked with a smile.
